6 Degrees in Dist 5

I had heard listening to D5 residents that they are concerned about the growing vacancies in the commercial corridors near their homes.  People want local businesses - sustainable businesses that they can walk or drive to near by to get their daily needs.  Shorter commutes to get to shopping.  That makes sense in a time of "Green Sensibilities" - - Promoting businesses that fit into that old-time feeling promotes community, promotes 'green'.  These are great ideas.  Let's find businesses that will support the needs of these communities.  Promote the 6 degree proximity.
