World Beat reflections

As I watched the dancers perform this afternoon it brought back memories of the summers that I spent in Mexico with my dad. A gregarious Swede with a penchant for Latin America and Spanish language, he spent the school breaks in Mexico. He shared the experience and his passion for the culture of Mexico. Music, dance, heritage.

It was great to see and feel again with the freshness of young dancers and their enthusiasm for the performance.

It was really a display of the success of the school engaging the youth. THAT is success at the school.

The Language Academy is a charter school. Food for thought...
